You can create this “Easy Ice Cream Cake” recipe so many different ways, but with only 5 ingredients this version is the best. So are you ready to impress your friends with this easy ice cream cake?

Quick & Easy Ice Cream Cake

Did I mention this has only 5 ingredients? The best part, other than quick & easy, is that you can customize this recipe many different ways by substituting say vanilla ice cream to chocolate ice cream or hot fudge to hot caramel. You could have a different ice cream cake every night. That is what my dreams are made of!

Ingredients you’ll need

To get started making this recipe, you’ll first want to gather all your ingredients.

Here is what you’ll need:

  • 1 Box – Brownie mix + ingredients to prepare
  • 1.5 quart – Ice cream – any flavor
  • 8 oz. – Cool Whip
  • 18 or 1/2 pk. – Oreos
  • 6 oz. – Hot fudge

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: Bake brownies according to package directions. Cool 10 mins.

Step 2: Mix softened (not liquid) ice cream with Cool Whip using an electric mixer on high speed until blended. Spread over top of slightly cooled brownies.

Step 3: Crush Oreos until no large chunks remain. (Food processor is best!)

Step 4: Microwave hot fudge for apprx. 30 seconds to make it pourable. Mix with Oreos. Sprinkle/drop the mixture on top of ice cream layer.

Step 5: Freeze for 4-6 hours. An ice cream spade or spatula works well for serving.

That’s it! Can you believe just how easy that was? Like I said earlier, you can make this numerous ways by changing up the ice cream &/or toppings. How about peanut butter ice cream & crushed Reese’s or caramel ice cream & graham cracker topping. Hope you enjoy making your new recipe so get to baking! Note: Make sure to keep in freezer after serving!
